Mitsubishi WD73C9 Technical Information

Mitsubishi WD73C9 DLP televisions use Digital Light Processing on their large flat panel screens. DPL is the current display technology behind rear projection TV’s. DLP TV screens do not rely on fluids as their projection medium and are therefore not limited in size by their inherent mirror mechanisms, making them ideal for increasingly larger high-definition theater and venue screens. With DPL there is no possibility of screen burn in and the DPL projector won’t suffer from “color decay” which is often seen with LCD projectors. This is when the image of the screen turns yellow after an extended period of use.

WD73C9 = Less noise and better video technical info

Video noise is caused by distortions in the video signal which make the picture look snowy or grainy. The WD-73C9's exclusive Video Noise Reduction uses advanced algorithms to better identify video noise from fine detail and correct the signal instead of distorting it. The signal resolutions became noticeably better with the introduction of DVD, satellite, digital cable and HDTV, the loss of sharpness produced by most noise reduction circuits becomes quite obvious. Mitsubishi's advanced Video Noise Reduction delivers signal correction that provides an image that’s crystal clear and extremely detailed. To help you understand all this technical information I have provided a WD73C9 Specifications page. with more details

Mitsubishi's WD-73C9 features three HDMI connections to bring you the absolute best in connectivity. HDMI is the only interface in consumer electronics that can carry both uncompressed high-definition video and uncompressed multi-channel audio in all HD formats including 720p, 1080i and even 1080p. No more complicated cable set-up when installing your home theater system, HDMI carries all channels on video and audio, there is only one cable to plug into any HDMI-enabled source and display device. Also, HDMI is fully backward-compatible with DVI. You will need a physical adapter, sold separately, to make the conversion from HDMI to DVI.
